Wannabies forever
This Blog has turned into a Notice Board where players and supporters of the Wannabies can comment on the team, the games, the division, the ref, the French, the weather. In fact, just about anything. I don’t care! There are a few rules though.
- No swearing – unless it’s relevant.
- No malicious rumour spreading – unless it’s about Franck.
- No bagging the players – unless it’s about the keeper.
- No bitchy remarks aimed at players originating from outside Australia – unless they’re French.

What a shit house game, we lost our first game of the comp, to the team that had 3 lost with an average lost of 10+ goals against them, Maybe we should change our name, to the TIME WAISTERS.

Now I know you’re upset. Letting four goals in will do that to a person, but it’s only a game. We’re bound to have a bad one once in a while and this was it. We’ll get them next time.
And, about the name change. It’s not very catchy! Anyway, I’m not designing another logo so stop being a baby and pull yourself together. See you Friday.

where is the match report you silly english person. what a great game, Franck was superb on the field, and chris was not bad in the goal, it is good that he is very fat and nobody can score against him.

Good match report, late but good, i guess England was not build in a day, so we cannot expect to much from you ;-). I just wish you would be less honest with your performance and more accuret with mine. Have you been in touch with Geoff, We are playing the Fox this week so lets beat them.

Not happy Jan! What a piss poor match report. My name should have been in BOLD. I was expecting a 20 pages explaining what a skillful goal that I Sir Franck Dargenton scored. And a PS would have been sufficient for your two goals. Merry Christmas and a safe new year! Ho ho ho

you stupid English man! If you are going to do a match report GET IT RIGHT STIMPEY!!!. The score was 4 to 1. I was the best goal keeper ever, didn’t even break a sweat - as I was sitting on the bench!!!! see you next week

What are you babbling on about Frenchy. It says 4-1. You need your eyes testing mate. Maybe you got mixed up with the last game we played? It’s okay though old age does that to a person. Are you staying on the bench this week or can you be bothered to get off your arse and help us out?

we missed you, i hope you are having a good time and you have had a safe trip. we won on friday, Geoff scored two goal, Chris (the skinny one and not the fat one) scored a goal. I was by far the best player on the field, because 75% of the time i was sitting on me ass waiting for the ball to get to me. I had to stop only one scoring change (good thing i was still awake) the defence was fantastic and the whole team played very well (yes including fat chris). well enjoy the rest of your holiday and see you when you get back

match report for the 31-jan-09.
We lost 3-2 yes agaisnt the FOX. We played poorly because we only had 4.5 players. Yes 4.5 players, Geoff nephew (14 years old) came to help, he was good but the team was missing the team work. Fat chris played on the field for the first 22 minutes and them we swap goal keepers. Geoff scored our only Goal, I let one in (sorry it was a very soft goal) Chris also let me in but his was harder. We are now second by three points, we miss you and need you back.

Thanks for keeping me updated guys. Sorry I haven’t had time to reply. Been busy travelling around the UK. Now, however, I am sitting at the computer looking out over a white landscape. My travelling plans on-hold due to snow.

match report for the 6 of february 2009.
Well what can i say, we played like a bunch of five years olds. Once again we had only 4.5 players and then turned into 5.5 playes. Geoff, Fat Chris, Paul, Sir Franck and Michael (Geoff’s nephew) and eventually Matt turned up, we all tried some had more success than others. Sir Franck had a shit house day, the stupid French boy let a very easy goal in. Geoff the very old pensioner scored one goal, fat chris was in the right place at the right time and scored two goal, Micheal score one goal and a miracle did happen! Paul, had a RDO and had plenty of time to warm up ( 8 or 9 beers before the game)it was so good that the all planet stop revolving and stood still to appreciate what Paul had achieved, a beautiful left foot in the top right corner of the goal and yes it was a goal for the wannabies. final score was 6 to 2 for the Wannabies. Yep Yep hurray we won. Sorry to make you wait so long for the match result but what can i say, I AM FRENCH when it suites me. Next game Friday the 13 at 9pm, we will have only 3.5 players. have a safe trip back and i hope you enjoyed your holiday.

yes, it was a very good game, i let one stupid goal in but what can I say I am French. Fat chris was very rusty and must of put on weight because he just could not run. Box Chris scored a very good goal but Sir simon was the star, (yes i hate to say it but it was true)

it was well played good to get a result in the dying stages, there a good but dirty team, some clinical finishing from simon up front positions himself nicely, a good performance from our EU superstars. Big chris needs a kick in the ass from monsieur frank to drop back in defence, ps is jeff back this week.

Losers are Winners.
We played a very good first half only letting 2 or 3 goals in but ran out of steam in the second to finish with a score or 11-1. To our defense we were playing a Div 2 team and they were very very good. We had quite a few opportunities to score but their keeper played an outstanding game. As we already had the 4 points for the win due to the new points system, Franck later told us that he “took it easy” so not to hurt himself. Yeah right. The defense could have been better in the second half but i think we just wanted to get at lease 1 goal to retain some pride, but to no avail. Missing Geoff and Simon did not help either.At least we know what to aim for the next time we play them.

Good match report, but poor Franck! He gets no support. My knee was hurting me very badly. I am very upset about the ref sending me off, I played with worst injury, I should decide when and if I go off. He also told me that if I do not get my knee fixed he will not let me on the court. I hope our team captain speak to Lisa about the stupid ref and about the wasted time at start of every games! We pay $40.00 for 30 minutes not more not less. Cu next week

That would be right - June 5th, I score our only 2 goals - match report non - existent. June 12 Simon scores our only 3 goals, match report full and comprehensive.

well last night was a good game, i think we played very well, yes even fat chris. Yes we missed the old bloke i think his name his Geoff, but he is getting so old that we only see him play once every 3 to 4 weeks, he get injured almost has much has our stupid goal keeper, which by the way was bloody fantastic. All joke aside that goal keeper was on fire, it was the best game i have seen him play for about 12 months, he finaly became the octopus we all knew he could be, Paul again was very solid in defence, final score was 1 to 6. yes we lost, but if it was not for our SUPERB FANTASTIC MODEST GOAL KEEP IT WOULD OF BEEN 15. I think the four musketeers which were playing last night agree, the goal keeper should be referred from today onward has SIR.

Well what can we say! There is only a few thing in life that are so great, you cannot help but remember them! Armstrong walking on the moon, Martin Luther king “ i have a dream” Einstein splitting the atom, the Berlin wall being pulled down, and what i had the pleasure of witnessing tonight. The greatness of the mammoth exhibition was so overwhelming that no words in the English, French and Bifi Cosmalu dictionary could accurately describe. We had the pleasure of watching the world’s most exceptional sportsman in his moment of glory. His lordship, Franck, scored 4 spectacular goals and was by far the best player that the world has ever seen. The Wannabies were playing superb, Geoff and Simon both scored nice goals, the Fat bloke in the goals did very well.

Wow, what a write up. is this Franck guy in a pro team at the moment? We’re looking for someone at LA Galaxy. I’ll be off on loan at AC Milan for the season but I need a good man to hold the yanks together. I gather from looking at the fantastic website that he’s French. This could be a problem. But if the skills are there and he doesn’t talk, we could get away with it. I’ll keep an eye on the blog to make sure it wasn’t just a “one-off”. Post more details of Franck.

Friday 22 of January 2010, the world stood still for 30 minutes an admired the superb performance from the Wannabies. Michael was on fire and scored two wondeful goals, Ockmar was brilliant and scored 3 goal, Franck, the good looking bloke, had a solid game and scored 4 assist and one superb goal. Simon was solid in defence and had a great game. The fat bloke in the goals “Chris” had a very good game, he stopped about 4 very good goal, he only let one in. But the reason the earth stood still is, the Wannabies really played very well, we had about 4 superb team goal, the team is starting to know where we are on the field, which is making one- two combination really work and scoring goal has become easy, we scored 10 goal in total. The star of the game should go to Michael - most improved player on the paddock.
